Burkina Faso visa application forms are available online and can also be obtained from different diplomatic missions and embassies around the world. Burkina Faso visas are usually valid for up to 5 years with multiple entries.

It usually takes up to 4 days to process and emergency visas are likely to attract extra costs. The visa on arrival costs about XOF 94 000 for a single entry with 3c months validity and XOF 122 000 for multiple entries with 3 months' validity. 

 

 Burkina Faso student visa

To be eligible for or to apply for a Burkina Faso student Visa the following are a prerequisite.

  • A valid passport with at least two blank pages, valid for about 6 months with at least a blank visa page
  • A visa application form
  • Passport photos-these These have to be recent, in color, front view, and with a plain or light background.
  • Certificate of yellow fever vaccination
  • A cover letter
  • Proof of sufficient funds- the applicant must hold some proof of sufficient funds for their stay in Burkina Faso.
  • Copy of bank statements to show the ability to fund oneself.
  • Copies of travel itinerary and proof of accommodation

Citizens can obtain a visa upon arrival except for those from Kosovo, Macao, and Yemen. You can also apply for a visa online.

The following countries are exempt from requiring a visa to travel to Burkina Faso. These are Benin, Mali, Cape Verde, Mauritania, Central African Republic, cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Togo, and the United Arab Emirates.
